Since the launch of June 2021, “Her Pivot” project to empower women in Japanese sports business has specifically focused on increasing the number of female speakers for business presentations, For that purpose, the program has provided female professionals in Japanese basketball industry with free presentation trainings and organized the inaugural “Her Pivot Forum 2022” past March, with key note by Head of Women Empowerment at FIBA and with female professionals in global basketball, including FIBA and Euroleague as well as B LEAGUE clubs.
The project has been supported by FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, B LEAGUE Chairman Shinji Shimada, and Womenomics Advocator Kathy Matsui, and funded by RSA, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, and following the inaugural Her Pivot Forum, our meaningful game to empower women in sports business was extended as overtime with the NBA.
This time, we will learn about the various women’s empowerment programs within the National Basketball Association (NBA).
